Privacy

Findable is built to be used without an account. You can search and read everything without signing up, and there are no analytics or advertising trackers on the site.

What we store

• Requests and contact messages — what you type into the Request Information or Contact forms, and your email address only if you choose to give one for a reply.
• Spam prevention — when you send a request or message, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and of a random device identifier (a cookie named fy_dev) to limit how often requests can be sent. These records are deleted after about a day. Raw IP addresses are not stored.
• Ad views — to count ad views honestly, a one-way hash of your IP address and browser type is kept briefly so the same view isn't counted twice. It is not used for anything else.

Cookies

The only cookie visitors may receive is fy_dev, set when you open a request or contact form, used only for spam prevention. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.

Services we use

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver pages and protect the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts load. Links to sources and ads take you to other websites, which have their own privacy practices.
